DREW JOY is a Philadelphia-based multi-disciplinary sound designer working in the commercial, TV and film industry.
What a wild ride! Beginning with a childhood obsession with microphones, magnetic tape, and strange drums, Drew has followed his ears and his curiosity for over 25 years, learning and practicing a wide variety of audio-related trades and crafts in the overlapping worlds of music and film.
2024 has seen Drew collaborating with NYC-based artist Mike Perry on whimsical commercial projects for Hermès and Health-Ade Kombucha, as well as a site-specific, projection-mapped, immersive experience for Bulleit Bourbon.
In 2023, Drew worked with Glossier to create a unique, immersive ASMR experience for a London pop-up, as well as sound design and mix work for Shiseido, Brandon Maxwell, Voltron Data, and a sync placement in NBC’s Queer as Folk.
